Veteran singer Rekha Bhardwaj has stirred the headlines for her recently released track Nikat from the Kill directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. Siddhant Kaushal has penned the lyrics of this track composed by the music duo Haroon-Gavin. Within 2 days of its release, this love ballad has garnered more than 4 Lakh views and became a hit. Talking with ANI about this track, Rekha Bhardwaj said," Kill is a special film, not only for the acclaim it has received ahead of its release but also for its unconventional storyline." According to the veteran singer, Nikat is more than just a song, it is an emotion, a source of nourishment and a powerful surge of energy. The 60-year-old singer hoped that this song would transcend boundaries and touch hearts with profound emotional quotient and vitality that have been put through vocals.

Listeners have applauded the music, lyrics and vocals in the track.

Starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala and others, Kill is all set to hit the big screens on July 4. Ayesha Syed and Nikhil Nagesh Bhat are associated with the film as writers.

Even before its release at the cinema halls, Kill won accolades from viewers at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023. Viewers admired the action sequences and Lakshya’s acting prowess. At the festival, Kill had clinched the first runner-up position in the Midnight Madness PCA standings.

Kill’s producers Filmmaker Karan Johar and Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga attended the Toronto International Film Festival for the screening of their film. Karan shared a couple of photos from the event on Instagram in 2023. Dressed in their festive best, the Kill team was pictured on the red carpet. Sharing the pictures, the Dharma Productions owner wrote in the caption, “Ready to #KILL! World Premiere of KILL at Toronto International Film Festival – Midnight Madness Screening!"

Lakshya has risen to prominence with the success of Kill. He shared a post on Instagram expressing gratitude for everyone who made it possible.

He also thanked Karan Johar for being a constant mentor and motivator and also thanked Guneet Monga.
