Javed Akhtar revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that his account was hacked. He clarified that the supportive tweet for the Indian team at the 2024 Olympics wasn’t from him and that he is filing a complaint with the authorities.

He tweeted, “My X ID is hacked. There is a message ostensibly from my account about our Indian team for Olympics. It is totally harmless but not sent by me. We are in the process of complaining to the concern authorities in X.”

The tweet Javed mentioned about the Indian Olympic team is no longer visible on his timeline.

On Sunday, many celebrities congratulated Manu Bhaker on winning a bronze medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol at the Paris Olympics. This made her the first Indian woman to win an Olympic shooting medal. Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, and Anil Kapoor praised Manu on social media.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Preity Zinta shared Manu’s photo and wrote, “Congratulations @bhakermanu on winning the first medal for India in #olympics2024 #bronzemedal #shooting #parisolympics2024 #JaiHind #ting.” Taapsee also shared the photo and wrote, “Opening our Olympic medal tally account with a bronze!!! Congratulations to this fantastic shooter.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the shooter and wrote, “A historic medal! Well done, @realmanubhaker, for winning India’s FIRST medal at #ParisOlympics2024! Congrats for the Bronze. This success is even more special as she becomes the 1st woman to win a medal in shooting for India. An incredible achievement!,”

Alia Bhatt, too, took to Instagram to congratulate Manu Bhaker.

Manu Bhaker became the fifth shooter after Abhinav Bindra, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Vijay Kumar and Gagan Narang to win an Olympic medal in shooting. India today reported that Manu Bhaker and Kim Yeji were shooting for the second spot in the final elimination round. Manu showcased incredible grit as she shot 10.1 and 10.3 in her last two shots. Despite Kim shooting just 9.7 and 9.8, she managed to finish ahead of Manu.
