Ira Khan Reveals What Brother Azad Rao Was 'Excited' About At Her Wedding

Ira Khan, daughter of Bollywood star Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta, had the wedding of her dreams to her longtime fiance, Nupur Shikhare. The couple registered their marriage in Mumbai in January of this year and later had a grand wedding ceremony in Udaipur with friends and family. While it has been months since the couple tied the nuptial knot, it seems like Ira still can’t get over her wedding memories. In a recent one, Ira Khan shared a never-seen-before picture from the wedding with her stepbrother, Azad Rao Khan, revealing the thing he was very “excited” about. In the picture, while Ira looks pretty in her white wedding gown, she gives a warm hug to Azad, who is dressed in a black satin gown, that reads, “Brother of the bride.”

“The only person who was as excited about the robes as I was. Great minds think alike,” she wrote in the caption.

While users showered the sister-brother duo with love, her husband, Nupur Shikhare, also dropped heart emojis in the comment section. Notably, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s son, Azad Rao Khan, is known for sharing a very close and warm relationship with his step-siblings, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan. They even had a blast at her wedding, taking part in every major function to make it a complete family affair. The siblings also stepped out for a photo session, all decked up for the evening.

In a special gesture, Azad, along with his parents, Aamir and Kiran Rao, even sang the ‘Ek Hazaro Mein Meri Behna Hai’ song at their sangeet ceremony. For the unversed, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare have been together for a long time now. They reportedly started dating in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic and got engaged in 2022. While Ira runs her own mental health support organisation, Nupur Shikhare is a celebrity fitness trainer known for working with Aamir Khan, Sushmita Sen, and other stars.
