New Delhi: We are finally out with the list of winners for this year's IBNLive Movie Awards. 2014 has seen a myriad of themes on which filmmakers experimented. Some were successful in narrating fresh new stories, while some faltered. Our readers voted for their favourites in different categories; while some of their choices were predictable, there were the others whose results were refreshingly different. They made some remarkable films win in important categories.
Going a step ahead and instead of just styling the actors from what she could find in the market, Costume designer Dolly Ahluwalia designed phirans for Shahid Kapoor, hijabs and head scarves for both Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu herself. The designer worked very closely with director Vishal Bhardwaj, while he was doing a recce in the valley of Kashmir. Dolly had to really challenge herself to understand the psyche of the character.
Her designs helped her win the IBNLive Movie Awards for Best Costume Design, she beat designers like Raghavendra Rathore (Khoobsurat) and Payal Saluja (Dedh Ishqiya).
