Vellachi was a Tamil-language romance film written and directed by Velu Vishwanath. The film starred Pintu Pandu and Suchitra Unni in the lead roles. The music was composed by Bhavatharini, with cinematography by Sai Natraj and editing by Hari Palanivel.

After Vellach, Pintu got back-to-back opportunities. He was next seen in the 2019 action movie Ayogya. The movie was written and directed by Venkat Mohan. It was an official remake of the 2015 Telugu movie Temper. Pintu Pandu was recently seen in the 2024 Tamil-language epic action-adventure film Captain Miller. It was produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and Arun Matheswaran directed it. The movie is the first part of a planned trilogy, and stars Dhanush in the title role. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Pintu will soon be seen in the upcoming movie Lover, written and directed by Prabhu Ram Vyas. The film will also star Manikandan K, Sri Gouri Priya and Nikhila Sankar in the lead roles.
