Aamir Khan On Working With Kiran Rao Post Divorce: 'Kisi Doctor Ne Bola Hai Ke Aap Dushman Ho Jaate Ho?'

Actor Aamir Khan and filmmaker Kiran Rao graced the stage of News18 India Chaupal and opened up on their film Laapata Ladies. Aamir also mentioned that he’s open to romantic films. “Agar romantic kahani hogi toh zarur. Iss age mein romance thora uncommon hota hai. Kahani ke hisaab se agar main character suit karungi toh kyun nahi karna chahunga? Har genre karna chahunga. Par age-wise thora suitable hona chahiye. Suddenly main 18 ho gaya ho woh nahi karna chahunga (If it’s a romantic story, then certainly. Romance is a bit uncommon at this age. According to the story, if I feel that I am suitable for the main character, then why wouldn’t I want to do it? I want to explore every genre. But it should be somewhat suitable age-wise. Speaking about working together after their divorce, Aamir said, “Yeh koi doctor ne kaha hai ke divorce ho jata hai toh aap foran dushman ho jaate hai? Yeh meri khushnaseebi hai ke mere zindagi mein Kiran aayi aur humara safar bahut hee fulfilling raha mere liye. Bahut kuch banaya humne saath mein, personally and professionally aur agge bhi hum saath mein hee hai. Hum insaani aur jaazbaati taur pe jude huye hai aur humesha rahenge. We are like a family.” Kiran added that they enjoy working with each other. “Unka jo mind hai, interlligence hai… do chaar dafa daant bhi deti hai, woh bhi maza aata hai (Has a doctor said that when a divorce happens, you immediately become enemies?
