In a major breakthrough, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has worked out the case of the killing of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi by arresting two prime accused and their associate.

Two shooters- Nitin Fauzi and Rohit Rathore and an associate Udham have been arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch.

The three were arrested from Chandigarh Sector-22 by the Crime Branch. They will be probed by the Delhi Police.

Earlier on Saturday, the police arrested one Ramveer, who allegedly helped the shooters – Rohit and Nitin – flee the spot on his bike after the murder and dropped them off at Ajmer Road.

The police, earlier this week, managed to identify Nitin and Rohit, the two shooters involved in killing Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Rohit Rathore is a resident of Rajasthan’s Nagaur while Nitin Fouji is from Haryana’s Mahendragarh.

Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead while he was sipping tea with four men in the living room of his Jaipur home around noon on December 5, when during a conversation, two of the men got up from their chairs and fired at him. A special investigation team (SIT) was formed on Wednesday to investigate the murder.

Gogamedi was cremated on Thursday in his native village in Hanumangarh district after his post-mortem was conducted at the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital on Wednesday. His death led to several protests in parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
