BANGALORE: Four persons stabbed an auto driver to death in broad daylight on Tuesday morning.The incident was reported in KEC Colony, near Kurubarahalli in Basaveshwaranagar police limits. Reportedly, the accused are juvenile offenders.The deceased has been identified as Devaraj (24), a resident of J C Nagar fourth block.According to the police, Devaraj was standing near Manasa Hospital when the miscreants attacked him.The four miscreants, all aged below 18, attacked Devaraj with knives and fled. Devaraj sustained multiple stab injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.Allegedly, Devaraj had a quarrel with the said miscreants on Tuesday morning while playing cricket together.It is said Devaraj had assaulted a person and snatched his mobile phone in the clash. It is suspected that these boys might have committed the murder to take revenge, police said.Devaraj’s father Aarmugam has filed a murder case with Basaveshwaranagar police and police have detained a person in connection with the incident.Four Held for ProstitutionFour women were arrested on charges of soliciting customers for their prostitution racket in Koramangala.The arrested women have been identified as Pooja (25), Sanjana (22) of West Bengal, Geethanjali (34) and Preethi (25), both from Darjeeling.
