Vadodara: In her dying declaration made before the police, a woman alleged that her husband Kishan Rathwa threw her and their four kids including a son and three daughters, into a well at Moti Zer village in Chhota Udaipur taluka on June 28. All four kids are dead and she was injured, alleged the woman, who is under treatment in a hospital at Chhota Udaipur.
However, in his complaint to the police, her husband Kishan alleged that his wife Bachli had jumped into the well to commit suicide, after throwing all the four kids into the well. This woman said that her husband had tied up the legs of her son with the legs of her one of her three daughters, before allegedly throwing them into the well. She also alleged that he snatched away her two minor girls including a one-year-old girl from her custody and threw them into the well. Before committing this heinous crime, he had quarreled with her and beat up her in the morning, she said.
She said that trouble began in her 12-years-old married life when her husband married another woman of a different caste about a year ago and brought her home. "There was a sudden change in his attitude and used to pick up fights with me even for small issues and beat me up frequently. So I began staying with my brother," she told the police in her dying declaration. "One week prior to this incident, her husband visited my brother's home and took me back home after resolving the matter amicably," she said.
