Los Angeles Star of tv hits like Baywatch and Knight Rider, David Hasselhoff’s estranged wife has claimed that the actor terrorized her with violent threats and even verbally abused her. The case was cited by court documents on Friday.
The star’s wife, Pamela Bach said that she feared for her safety after her husband of 16 years who filed divorce proceedings in January had at various times broken her nose and threatened to ram his car into her home.
In a document filed in her divorce proceedings in February in Los Angeles, "He grabbed me and pushed me hard into a car. In the past, he has also broken my nose and called me a whore, a 'bitch,' 'slut' and 'drug addict' in front of our children," was what Bach said Haselhoff had done to her in December.
Bach even alleged that in February Hasselhoff had phoned to tell her as she said "that he would break through my security gate, driving his car through the house and beat the door down. And go into the house and take my jewellery and sell them."
"I was so frightened that I called and hired a security guard who stayed with me because I feared for my safety," she added according to the documents.
A Los Angeles judge on March 6 ordered Hasselhoff to stay 100 meters(yards) away from his estranged wife and her house. He also ordered him to give up any firearms he may have.
Hasselhoff, 53 and Bach, 42, have two daughters, Taylor-Ann, 15, and Hayley, 13.
When his divorce documents were filed in January, representatives for the actor said that the split was amicable but Bach's latest filings indicate that their relations quickly soured.
Each parent has been granted temporary custody of one of the girls.
Hasselhoff reached worldwide fame for his role as Michael Knight in the 1980s show Knight Rider in which his co-star was a hyper-intelligent talking car.
He then went on to play a California lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the glamorous soap Baywatch that began in 1989 and earned him a reputation of a heartthrob among his female fans.
