New Delhi: Both Hate Story and Vicky Donor did good business over the weekend at single screens and multiplexes drawing in a nett Rs 6.60 crore and Rs 7 crore respectively, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh and the director of Hate Story Vivek Agnihotri said.
While Vicky Donor impressed the multiplex audiences, Hate Story dominated the single screens outside metros. Agnihotri said this was a hopeful trend since this benefited everyone and especially the exhibitors.

Hate Story, starring Bengali actress Paoli Dam, Gulshan Devaiah of Shaitan fame and Nikhil Dwivedi who last appeared in Shor in The City, is an adult entertainer and narrates the revenge saga of a woman scorned. Vicky Donor tackles the sticky subject of sperm donation and stars newcomers Ayushmann Khurana, Yami Gautam, Annu Kapoor, Dolly Ahluwalia and Kamlesh Gill in the main roles. Shoojit Sircar is the director of Vicky Donor.
Giving the breakup of the business, Adarsh said Vicky Donor collected Rs 7.40 crore nett in weekend with Rs 1.80 crore on Friday, Rs 2.60 crore on Saturday and Rs 3 crore on Sunday.
