We will welcome Benazir on her return: Kasuri
Kasuri says the Government wants to have links with all political parties.

New Delhi: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chief Benazir Bhutto's return would bring political stability to the country, the country’s Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said on Tuesday.

“We will welcome Benazir on her return to the country,” Kasuri was quoted as saying by Daily Times.

Terming her return to Pakistan 'a positive development' for the general elections, he stressed on the fact that the Government wanted to have links with all political parties, including the Nawaz Sharif-led PML-N.

Kasuri added that he had contacted the party's leadership before the former prime minister's return, but he adopted a 'harsh approach' towards the government. Nawaz Sharif had arrived in Pakistan on September 13 only to be humiliated and deported back to Saudi Arabia by President Pervez Musharraf’s men.

Bhutto’s party had announced a few days ago that she would return to Pakistan on October 18 after living in self-imposed exile for eight years.

Bhutto, who twice served as prime minister, will land in Karachi on October 18, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Vice-President of the PPP said in a press conference.
