Henin, too, moved into the quarters with a win over Patty Schnyder.

New Delhi: Top seed Justine Henin has moved into the quarter-finals with a win over Patty Schnyder at the Championships on Monday.

Henin had no trouble against her opponent from Switzerland, never allowing Schnyder to get going, and in less than an hour, sealed victory with a 6-2, 6-2 margin.

The Belgian, who has never won the Wimbledon, now meets the winner of the Serena Williams and Daniela Hantuchova match in round four.

Former champion Venus Williams is also through to the quarter-finals after she beat Japan's Akiko Morigami in the fourth round on Monday.

Williams was made to struggle by Morigami. After winning the first set, Williams was pushed by Morigami who went on to win the second set 6-3.

However, the big-hitting American looked more determined in the third, winning the decider 7-5.

Venus Williams has set up a clash with world number two Maria Sharapova in the quarter-final.
