As parts of Bihar reel under floods due to heavy rains, pictures posted by the Centre on Friday showed how the state is ensuring Covid-19 vaccination in the water-logged areas.
In an image shared by the Union Health Ministry on Twitter, one of the ‘dedicated boats’ to ensure Covid-19 vaccination called “vaccines in boats” is seen in a flood-affected area in Muzaffarpur.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday undertook an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Hayaghat, Bahadurpur, Hanuman Nagar, Ghanshyampur areas of Darbhanga district, Madhwapur, Khajauli, Phoolparas, and Ghoghara areas of Madhubani district and Bithan, Singhiya, Bariyahi and Kalyanpur areas of Samastipur districts.
The cumulative Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 37 crore. Of these, more than 27.86 lakh vaccine doses were administered on Friday, according to a provisional report at 7 pm.
Eight states — Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra — have administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to more than 50 lakh people in the 18-44 age group.
