BHUBANESWAR: Body of an unidentified person was found along the Nuagaon-Malipada Road under Khandagiri police limits on Friday raising suspicion of foul play. While the deceased is yet to be identified, police conducted autopsy on the body and are waiting for the post mortem report. The person was wearing a pair of denim pants and a white shirt. There were certain marks on the upper parts of the body but police said there was nothing discernible to indicate if it was a murder though the cops did not rule out any possibility. However, how the body came to the spot, a long isolated patch of road, continued to remain a mystery. There was no bike or any other vehicle to suggest that it could have been an accident. Interestingly, the Commissionerate Police had a tough time in the recent past over a similar incident in the area. After a body was found along the same stretch, Chandaka Police had claimed it to be a case of road accident. The police claim had infuriated the locals who went on a rampage and took their ire out on the local police station after heavy brickbatting.
