There are several projects which are yet to be completed. “The delay in completion incurs a huge loss to the government,” the Minister said.Keeping this in view, the government has adopted the policy to complete the development projects within the set time, he said.“For speedy implementation, the government has given strict instruction to the PWD officials and the project contractors,” the Minister said.He noted that though the work of the Andhakarathodu bridge was slated to be completed in six months, it could be completed in 89 days.“This tempo should be maintained in other developmental projects also,” he said.Pointing at the traffic woes here, he said that the PWD has taken steps to initiate the  development of roads.    The bridge has been widened to 7.5 m. Also  1.5 m footpaths have been set up on the either side of the bridge.
