According to a report in Amar Ujala, hotels in Tehri Garhwal are charging Rs 500 per day for single rooms and Rs 1000 per day for a double room.
If you think this is costly then wait. The political campaigns have not just raised the hotel prices but also the cost of means of transport.
Reports states, to get a camel for a day, political parties will have to shell out upto Rs 2,000 per day and Rs 7,000 for a horse carriage.
As compared to these, vehicles like Bolero and Somu cost Rs 1,900 and Pajero Rs 2,300 per day.
The cycles cost Rs 50 per day, while bus costs RS 4000 per day and truck Rs 2,500 per day.
