The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Hindi anthem: A song composed in just one night
Indian band - SANAM has composed and performed 'Main Hoon', the promotional music video for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'.

New Delhi: The Indian anthem of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is out and is doing the rounds on social media. Composed and performed by Indian band - SANAM, 'Main Hoon' is the promotional music video for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' for keeping the Spiderman buzz among the Indian audience alive.

The band is new to the film industry, but not its lead singer Sanam Puri who gave a hit Ishq Bulaava from 'Hasee to Phasee'. What's interesting is that Sanam composed the song with his brother and the guitarist of the band, Samar Puri, in just one night.

"Sanam got a call from Sony Music saying they needed a song for The Amazing Spiderman 2 urgently, like in a day or two. So, he gave them the song the very next morning. He didn't sleep and composed it while I helped him write the chorus part," said Samar.

When asked whether he already had something in mind, Sanam said the song was exclusively made on the spot for Spiderman. "I didn't have anything in mind. There was a brief given to me about the movie and because I don't listen to music, my mind had enough space to come up with something new. So while the brief was being given, my mind was automatically creating something. So I made this for Spiderman. Took me four hours to compose this. I sent it to Sony the next morning and everyone loved it," Sanam said.

The lyrics of the song have been composed by Samar Puri and Manoj Yadav. The song is an easy to listen to song unlike the hard hitting rock songs that generally follow animated movies. This one's a sooth number.

The video, directed by Akshat Gupt, blends the visuals from the movie with the visuals of SANAM performing the song. The band members - Samar, Sanam, Keshav Dhanraj and Venkat Subramaniyam go all stylish in black overcoats in the video that is certainly grabbing the female attention over the social media.

The band, SANAM, earlier known as the SQS Project, is elated with the response to the song. They in fact recently changed the name to 'SANAM' to make it easier for the audience to connect to.

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is set to hit Indian screens on May 2.
