TDP corporators plan stir over bad roads

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party corporators in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation have threatened to stage a sit-in protest in front of Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy’s residence in Tarnaka next week if no action was taken to cover potholes on main roads in the twin cities.TDP GHMC floor leader Singireddy Srinivasa Reddy, TDP whip Kotha Rama Rao along with other corporators took media to different parts of the twin cities to show the poor condition of roads.“Instead of inspecting the bad condition of the roads and attending to people’s problems, the mayor is busy attending to the chief minister’s programmes to get oneyear extension for mayoral post,” Singireddy alleged.Arterial roads in Musheerabad, Kavadiguda, Chaderghat, Ramnagar, Warasiguda, Ameerpet, Punjagutta, Jubilee Hills and others have been battered by the rain.
