BANGALORE: The High Court on Thursday upheld the Bangalore University’s decision not to permit the students of third-year Law course to get admitted to fourth-year if seven or more subjects are not cleared.The single bench headed by Justice Mohana Shantanagowdar hearing the petitioner, M V Guruprasad and 40 others, students of Law course, who have moved the High Court, stating that if no permission is granted to carry over their subjects to next year, they will be forced to join the course afresh as the Bangalore University will be amalgamated with Karnataka State Law University.However, the Bangalore University filed a memo on Thursday stating that it will ensure admission to the students who have not cleared six subjects, but the same will not apply to the students who have failed in seven or more subjects.Justice Mohana Shantanagowdar who heard the case dismissed the petition by the students in the wake of submission of memo by the Bangalore University.
