Speaker kicked by bull at festival

GUNTUR: A local festival to kick off farm activities for the kharif season turned nasty for speaker Nadendla Manohar when he was kicked by a bull Wednesday.The speaker was participating in Yeruvaka, a festival during which farmers start cultivating their kharif crop.Minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad and Congress leader Rayapati Srinivas were also in attendance.The speaker was an enthusiastic participant, even holding the plough for some time. While going back to his vehicle after the festivities, he touched the hump of a bull which reared up and kicked at him. He almost fell to the ground but his security guard held him.
