BANGALORE: Sonu Nigam is set to perform live in the city for a cause. Tunes of Treasure, organised by Sri Sudarsana Seva Samithi and Nava Karnataka Social Service Trust, will be presented on February 11. The Samithi has decided to build a shelter for senior citizens that provides free boarding and lodging. The funds generated will also be used to establish Institute of Indian Tradition and Culture that focuses on teaching Indian tradition and culture. “The concert is conducted to support and fund the Samithi’s projects,” said S Venkatesha Iyengar, founder of the Samithi. The event is presented by Sujatha Srinath Nikkam and Charan Singh. “Sonu Nigam has extended his full support to the event as there is a noble cause behind it. Our motive is to reach out to the needy and provide them all the support they need,” said Sujatha, an organiser.The concert will be held at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds, on February 11. Tickets for the show starts from Rs 500 to Rs 3,000 and are available at Pizza Corner and Smart Supermarket, Indiranagar.
