Singhdeo gets threat calls again

BHUBANESWAR: Orissa BJP Legislature Party leader K V Singhdeo has again received threat calls on Thursday night.He received two threat calls between 10.45 pm and 10.47 pm when he was in his house here with some friends. The calls were from the number,7381616074. This was the second time within a month that the senior BJP leader has received such calls.   Raising the issue in the assembly on Friday, Singhdeo said that he has forwarded the calls to the DSP, Patnagarh, for verification of the identity of the caller. He said that the caller again threatened him with dire consequences.The BJP leader had received a phone call on July 30 from one Pratap Reddy. Claiming himself a Naxalite leader camping at Sanjabanjipali, Reddy asked for foodgrain and money with threat of dire consequences if his demand is not complied with.  Singhdeo immediately brought this to the notice of the Patnagrh police.Singhdeo had shot off a letter to the Chief Minister on the eve of the monsoon session of the Assembly in the wake of the threat call.Criticising the state government for its all-round failure, Singhdeo alleged that it has failed to ensure three basic things for common people, education, health and security.    The BJP leader said that if political leaders like him are getting threat calls, one can imagine the situation of the common people.   Referring to the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in the state, Singhdeo requested the Chief Minister to take immediate steps for ensuring the security of the common people.
