SC directs Centre to give information of individuals staying in government accommodations

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Central government to give information of individuals staying in government accommodations. The Supreme Court has asked for information on how many categories of bunaglows are there in Delhi, who all have been allotted bungalows under discretionary quota and how many are overstaying.

The apex court has sought a detailed report by November 21.

The amicus curiae pointed out that Congress leader Arjun Singh's wife has been staying in a government bungalow since 2011 when he passed away. It was pointed out that she has been given permission to stay in the bungalow till 2016.
