New Delhi: Every era can often be defined by the cinema of its times, the music that echoed from its walls or the books that chronicled its events; today's present is tomorrow's history and in every chapter that makes history, there are men and women who rise above the decadence of the past and live through the years.
In January 2013, Forbes India will come up with its list of 100 Most Powerful Celebrities in the country.
Their power will be measured on two counts - money (earnings) and fame. Spread across various categories - Film Actors/Actresses, Producers/Directors, Sportstars, TV Personalities, Singers/Music Directors and Authors - this list will rank some of the most outstanding performers, creative entrepreneurs and 'idols' from the world of media and entertainment.
The gross earning of the celebrities in the period between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012 will be estimated. The fame quotient will cover their exposure across print, web, TV and social media. Taking both into account, the final rankings will be arrived at.
The issue hits the stands on January 25 and is set to become the benchmark for india's celeb rankings.
