Ajmer: The rain situation seems to be getting worse in Rajasthan, nine people have died in rain related accidents in the state over the past 24 hours.
Five deaths have taken place in Ajmer alone. The low-lying areas of Ajmer and Alwar are facing a flood-like situation. Heavy rainfall has caused the water level in the Anasagar lake to cross the danger mark for the first time in 15 years.
Till Tuesday morning Tapukada recorded a maximum of 17 cm rainfall followed by Raipur at 13 cm.
Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota also recorded 35, 32.8 and 24.8 mm rains from morning to evening on Tuesday, according to Met department.
