New Delhi: It will always be difficult to slip into the shoes of Michael Schumacher, but Kimi Raikkonen isn't any ordinary driver either. He won his first ever race for Ferarri in the season opener after moving from McLaren and has also shown that like Schumi, the rain doesn't stop him.

The rain poured down at the Circuit de Catalunya. It proved to be a damp squib for the thousands who came in on a national holiday to cheer the local boy and double world champion Fernando Alonso. So severe was the rain that Alonso drove out and then decided that it was better off in the dry pit garage.

One person, though, who didn't mind was Ferarri's new recruit Kimi Raikkonen. The Flying Finn posted the fastest time of the day.

"I looked very good, even though I don't know how others are doing, but for the race I think we have more confidence. The car seems to feel very good here, so we will wait and see what happens. We still have one and a half weeks, but I feel we have a good car now," Raikkonen told reporters.

Formula One is in its first year post the retirement of the legend Micheal Schumacher. Three races down and no team or driver has pulled away. Raikkonen, Alonso and debutant Lewis Hamilton are tied for the lead in the Driver's Championship with 22 points each.

"We have just started, only three races, but it's very close. So nothing has been lost or won so far. I think it's important to have a good race now and see which way you go," Raikkonen added.

The Spanish Grand Prix will take place next Sunday, and till then the teams have time to fine tune the fast machines.
