When Amir fell asleep, Rama got up and allegedly slit his throat with the knife and made away with the ornaments. He had fled to Bhubaneswar from where he was nabbed. While investigations almost led to nowhere, three calls on the day between Amir and Rama brought the latter under suspicion.
