PM's flight to Copenhagen delayed due to technical snag

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's flight on Thursday to Copenhagen where he is expected to attend the UN climate summit has been delayed by a couple of hours due to a minor technical snag.

Officials in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said the Air India flight that was expected to take off at 1500 hours IST has been deferred for some time.

"The technical team is looking into the matter. It is a minor hitch and they want to take extra precautions," said a PMO official.

Manmohan Singh's official team is a compact one comprising eight members including Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and the Prime Minister's Special Envoy on Climate Change Shyam Saran, besides other senior officials.
