New Delhi: Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has come under flak for attending a music launch of a film in Mumbai soon after the serial blasts in Patna, which claimed six lives and injured more than 80 people.
Shinde was seen at the music launch of a film titled 'Rajjo', this despite news channels being flooded with news on the eight blasts that took place in Patna.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Sunday, cancelled his scheduled tour to Munger in the wake of serial blasts that rocked the state capital.
Meanwhile, Shinde clarified that adequate security is being provided to the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate. "Central Government has provided adequate security to the Gujarat Chief Minister," Shinde told reporters in Delhi.
Modi has been accorded Z-plus security with round-the-clock protection by elite National Security Guard commandos.
The Home Minister said one of the injured persons, suspected to be involved in the blasts, has been arrested.
Six persons were killed in the seven low intensity serial blasts of which six bombs went off in and around the venue of Modi's mega rally at Gandhi Maidan shortly before his address before a huge gathering on Sunday.
