Paris: Ninth seeds Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy of Czech Republic on Friday breezed into the third round of the men's doubles with their second successive straight set win even as Davis Cupper Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistan partner Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi bade good bye to French Open.
Paes and Dlouhy took just under an hour to tame the unseeded Argentine pair of Jose Acasuso and Sebastian Prieto 6-4, 6-4.
The Indo-Czech pair did not drop serve in the first set and broke the Argentine duo once to clinch it in just over half an hour.
Though they were broken once in the second set, Paes and Dlouhy converted two of the three break points that came their way to nip in the bud any possibility of an upset.
Earlier, Bopanna became the second Indian, after Mahesh Bhupathi, to crash out of the men's doubles event where he and his Pakistani partner Qureshi were thoroughly outplayed by top seeds Mike and Bob Bryan of America in the opening round.
The unseeded Indo-Pak combine, who made their Grand Slam debut as a pair, went down 1-6, 4-6 in just 53 minutes in the first round clash.
The Bryan brothers stamped their authority and raced away with the first set in just 24 minutes.
Bopanna and Qureshi did put up a fight in the second set, but their opponents were just too experienced and superior.
The Bryan brothers were dominant in winning points on the first serve and also converted four of the nine break points, that came their way. The Indo-Pak pair, on the other hand, could win one of five.
Earlier, Bhupathi's campaign was also cut short in the first round after he and his Bahamian partner Mark Knowles crashed out with a first round defeat.
