New Delhi: India's Leander Paes has carried on his good run at Wimbledon in the men's doubles on Friday.
Leander and his Czech partner Martin Damm warded off stiff challenge beating the pair of James Auckland of Britain and Stephen Huss of Australia in four sets to enter the third round. The final score was 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 7-6.
Meanwhile, Paes's Indian compatriot in the women's doubles, Sania Mirza, along with Israeli partner Shahar Peer made short work of their first round match against Lisa Osterloh and Sofia Andersson later on Friday.
The 16th seeded Indian-Israeli pair strolled into the second round in straight sets.
Sania Mirza had earlier crashed out of the second round of the women's singles after Russian Nadia Petrova ended the Indian's hopes.
