P J Joseph refutes TN argument

KOCHI: Water Resources Minister P J Joseph on Sunday said the govt could not agree to Tamil Nadu’s claim that the Mullaperiyar dam is safe. A new dam should be built for the safety of the people, he said.“Tamil Nadu’s argument is that the present dam is safe with the maintenance work. But Kerala does not agree with this,” he told reporters.   On the Rajya Sabha seat, he said that the Kerala Congress would take a decision on May 4.
