HYDERABAD: Kamineni Srihari, one of the victims of Prodigy Software scam was busy writing a complaint against Murali Radhakrishna, the chief executive officer, involved in duping hundreds of employees. It was 7.30 pm and the Madhapur police station was congested with hundreds of scam-hit victims.“It was a bitter experience. I paid Rs. 70,000 down payment to Satish, a middleman, who helped me get a job as trainee at the testing section.As soon as I paid the amount, I was issued an appointment letter by evening.I joined on March 28 at a monthly of Rs. 10,000.They paid my salary for April and May.But later the paychecks stopped coming,” fumed Kamineni Srihari, a native of Ongole. Several hundred employees made a beeline in front of the Madhapur police station which has received more than 500 written complaints.Prodigy Software Solutions has failed to pay salaries since four months.Later, the management closed down after employees staged a dharna a few days back.“I got job as a trainee testing developer.They offered me a salary of  Rs. 10,900 per month.It was my first job after my studies and now I am jobless,’’ said David, resident of SR Nagar.He added he came to know about the vacancies in the company from his friend working in the same company.David said he paid Rs. 75,000 to someone in the office.Later, the person modified his resume adding reference from Sanjay.“After they received money from the employees, they modified all resumes adding ‘reference from Sanjay’.But we don’t know who exactly Sanjay is,” he said. Prodigy Software Solutions, located on the ninth floor of Cyber Towers in Hi-tec City attracted unemployed youth by assuring the company has famous clients like Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL, iGate and others.Satish, who reportedly collected money from unemployed denied allegations made by the employees.“I left the company four months back and joined as a marketing executive in a private firm in Visakhapatnam.I am not involved in the issue,” he said.Meanwhile, B James Babu, sub-inspector of Madhapur police said Murali Radhkrishna is still absconding.“We have constituted a few special teams comprising senior officials and investigation is on,’’ he added.
