A woman died after a speeding BMW rammed into a bike-borne couple in Mumbai’s Worli. The couple was on the way home after buying fish from Sassoon Dock on Sunday morning when they were hit in the Koliwada area. The man, Pradeep Nakhava lost control of the bike in the collision. He jumped to avoid further harm, however, his wife who was carrying the heavy load was unable to do so and was crushed by the vehicle, which was allegedly being driven by Mihir Shah, son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah. Eight terrorists have been neutralised while two Army soldiers have been killed in action during ongoing operations launched by security forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday afternoon. The death toll in the twin encounters in Kulgam climbed to eight on Sunday as security forces recovered the bodies of two more terrorists, officials said. The twin encounters began on Saturday in two villages of Kulgam district. “Bodies of two terrorists were recovered from Modergam encounter site while four bodies of terrorists were recovered from Chinnigam site,” the officials said.
