In a move that could boost India's campaign against insurgent groups operating along the Indo-Myanmar border, the Myanmar government has signed a National Ceasefire Agreement with key insurgent groups.

NSA Ajit Doval was present in Nay Pee Taw during the signing of the ceasefire agreement. This is his second trip to Myanmar to urge its government to take action against groups like the NSCN(K).
Indian government has been putting pressure on the Myanmar government to act against insurgent groups that have been brewing trouble in the north east.
