Modi's Pakistan policy a failure, stab in the back for the country: Kejriwal
Slamming the PM for the Pak JIT fiasco, Kejriwal said BJP keeps shouting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' but ended up stabbing the country in the back.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched an all out attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing the Pakistan JIT to investigate Pathankot terror attack. Accusing Modi of giving a clean chit to Pakistan's ISI, the Delhi CM said that the move was like a stab in the back of the country.

"The nation wants to know what prompted the Prime Minister to kneel down before Pakistan. Also, it is still not clear that why he (Modi) made a surprise visit to Lahore to meet Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He greeted Sharif on his birthday and just a week later there was an attack," said Kejriwal.

"Instead of strongly protesting the Pathankot terror attack, we call them to probe the incident. We condemned the government's foreign policy. The JIT had an ISI officer. Allowing them to investigate the attack means the government has given ISI a clean chit," he said.

On December 25, Modi went to Lahore in an unexpected stopover on his way back to India after a day-long trip to Afghanistan.

“The PM’s foreign policy is a complete failure. They keep shouting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', and then stab the country in the back. Either he should apologise for allowing the Pakistan JIT to India or should reveal the outcome of his secret meeting with Sharif," he added.

On March 29, the Pakistan JIT members visited the Pathankot airbase where National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials briefed them and showed them the route which the attackers took to storm the airbase.

Pakistan is unlikely to do a quid-pro-quo for NIA team. Top government sources in Pakistan told CNN-IBN that the NIA will not be allowed visit to the country or be given access to Masood Azhar and other JeM leaders.

Pakistan has reportedly asserted that India must not expect reciprocity in Pathankot terror attacks probe, according to sources.

After they returned to Pakistan, the JIT in its report mentioned that the Indian authorities had carried out the Pathankot attack, according to The Pakistan Today newspaper.
