Minister promises to conserve bridge

KOCHI: The proposal by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to safeguard and conserve the old Mattanchery bridge as a heritage monument was accepted by Public Works Minister Ebrahim Kunju at the felicitation meeting held at the Indian Chamber Hall here on Monday.
"Necessary permission to entrust the work to the Chamber will be taken up at the Cabinet meeting," he said.Ebrahim Kunju said the foreshore road connectivity between Fort Kochi and Alappuzha would soon become a reality.
