CHENNAI: LIBA (Loyola Institute of Business Administration) Chrysalis, the national level management and cultural fest is back this year! The event will see 20 massive and diverse events, from across management, strategy and a variety of other domains.This year, Chrysalis is dedicated to men and women who have engraved their names on iconic moments in the history of mankind. Ramya Prasad, the 2010-12 student coordinator of LIBA, says that Exquizite, the flagship event of Chrysalis (scheduled for February 26, which is open to schools, corporates and colleges) will be conducted this year by Gautam Bose, the CEO of Greycells PVT Ltd. and a celebrated quiz master in the country. There will also be events covering areas of HR, marketing and finance. A hunt for the best manager will also be on. Esencia De, a popular name from the field of HR, will test the ability of the participants in four rounds, with the last one being a surprise round. And this time around, compared to last year, Chrysalis will offer a completely different platform for not only B-School students, but also potential MBA graduates in arts and science colleges. All student activities in LIBA are conducted by the student committee, 360 degrees. Herbert, one of the student coordinators, from the 2011-13 batch of LIBA, for the event added that this time around, 360 degrees had decided to add a whole new set of events.The new set of events will include traditional cultural events like shipwreck, Block ‘n’ Tackle, JAM, English Debate, Dumb Charades, Ad-Zap and VJ Wannabe.Apart from these events, Chrysalis will also have its general and usual traditional events such as Band Slam (Music), Burn the floor (Dance), Monopoly and Freaks (Gaming Contest).
