CHENNAI: Medicall 2011, The Healthcare expo, will open in Chennai for the seventh time on Friday. The expo, to be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakam, will be on till Sunday and will be open to the public from 10 am to 7 pm on all three days. Over 500 exhibitors will display a wide range of products for hospitals and the expo will provide a platform for suppliers, architects, builders, doctors and the entire medical fraternity to interact, explore and acquire information in their respective domains.Dr Manivannan, managing director of Medexpert Consultants Pvt Ltd and the promoter of the expo, said, “We found it difficult to source the best equipment for hospitals, especially in tier II and tier III cities. I hope this expo will be an ideal platform to usher in new and innovative practices and networking opportunity for the industry players through seminars, awards, and workshops”.The expo will also feature seminars on various subjects like hospital construction, innovations in healthcare, Lean Six Sigma Healthcare, breast and cervical cancer and blood bank safety. For the first time, The Healthcare Innovation Awards will be given away at the exhibition.
