The debris from the collapse of the middle portion of a flyover in Muzaffarpur would be cleared shortly, even as train services continued to remain affected, district authorities said.
Clearing of the debris began on Wednesday and it would be completed by evening, District Magistrate Anupam Kumar said. Kumar said he met Sonepur DRM Rajesh Tiwari and AGM Ajay Kumar who arrived on Wednesday after the collapse of a 50-feet portion of the flyover.
Ten persons who were injured in the accident were being treated in hospital, he said.
Railway services on the Muzaffarpur-Narkatiyaganj, Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur-Hajipur sections under Sonepur Division of the East-Central Railway continued to remain hit with 20 trains affected, ECR Chief Public Relations Officer Amitabh Prabhakar said.
