HYDERABAD: Police on Tuesday unravelled the mystery behind the murder of two sisters in broad daylight at Asif Nagar a few days ago with the arrest of the brother of the deceased and three others.The sisters, S Leela Bai (60) and S Kamala Bai (48), were found murdered in their house at Ravindra Nagar in Asifnagar on November 4.They were spinsters and were living with their niece, Sunita, police said, adding that during investigation they came to know that the sisters were in possession of some portion of ancestral land and some money in fixed deposits.One of their brothers, S Basanth Lal, wanted to grab the land and the money, and frequently quarreled his sisters over the property.He also wanted the land given for development but his sisters rejected his suggestion.He then planned to eliminate his sisters with the help of his wife Shilpa Bai alias Panchsheela, their son S Lakhan Lal alias Lakhan and his friend Pajput Singh Krishna alias Kishan, a private security guard and resident of Asif Nagar.To execute the killing, they brought two swords and daggers from Nanded in Maharashtra and waited for an opportunity.On November 4, the four of them entered the sisters’ house in the absence of Sunita and attacked Kamala Bai with the weapons after gagging Leela Bai.After killing Kamala Bai, they stabbed Leela Bai also and took away the documents pertaining to the land and also relating to another piece of land at Uppuguda purchased by Kamala Bai.Basanth Lal gave the Uppuguda land documents to Kishan and asked him to have the land transferred in his name in return for his help
