New Delhi: Suspended MP Kirti Azad on Friday - in his reply letter to the notice sent by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) - stressed that he was not involved in any anti party activities and he raised his voice only against corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association's (DDCA).
Claiming that his suspension is wrong and illegal, Azad dismissed the allegations (working against the party) levelled against him.
Sources said, in his reply, he said, "The DDCA is a cricket matter and it has no relation with the party. I didn't take Jaitley or anybody else's name. Then why I was suspended."
"I never said that party men are involved in the corruption activities and also never worked against the party line," he reportedly asked BJP to respond to his reply letter.
On December 23, Azad, a three-time MP from Darbhanga in Bihar, was suspended for openly targeting Union Finance minister over alleged irregularities in DDCA.
On Thursday, the BJP had sent Azad a show cause notice asking him to explain his conduct within 10 days.
