NARSAPURAM ( WG DIST)RAMACHANDRAPURAM(EG DIST): Dismissing allegations of Vijayamma that there could be a conspiracy behind the death of YSR, as false and baseless, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday accused Jagan’s mother, of trying to hoodwink people for political mileage.As part of the second leg of his campaign trail Kiran addressed a public meeting in Narsapuram, in West Godavari district on Thursday.“Till now I thought no one could stoop so low as Chandrababu Naidu for occupying the chair of chief minister. I have been proven wrong. Now there is a Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose only ambition is to become the chief minister.” Kiran Kumar Reddy recalled that Jagan was an accused in TDP legislator Paritala Ravi’s assassination in 2005. “Now Jagan is making his mother say that there was foul play in YSR’s helicopter crash. They are implying that the Congress is responsible for YSR’s death. Is this fair?” the chief minister questioned. He said that Jagan was resorting to all sorts of tricks, only to become chief minister within a short span. But, it took 30 years for YSR to become chief minister, Jagan should realise that, he said. It was because of the YSR family that Mopidevi Venkata Ramana had to go to jail, Kiran Reddy said. Ramana is innocent, but he has been made a scapegoat, the chief minister added. Mopidevi was being punished for the crimes he had not committed, he said. “Courts said that Jagan should be kept behind bars for his illegal activities.”Meanwhile, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana expressed doubt that YSR’s family members indeed might have hatched a conspiracy to assassinate YS Rajasekhara Reddy, so as to ascend the ‘CM’s gadde’.Describing YSRC as a party of rowdies and goondas, he called upon people of the state not to vote for YSRC, whose origin was corruption and whose party chief himself was facing corruption charges.
