Dubai: Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur will be the face of India at the Dubai Desert Classic even as Tiger Woods seeks to end a 14-month title drought this week at the Emirates Golf Club.
Jeev sets off from first tee with Thomas Aiken and Simon Khan while Kapur will tee off with Gary Orr and Moroccan pro Younes Al Hassani.
Woods last won at the JBWere Masters in Australia back in December 2009. Woods won the Dubai event in 2006 and 2008.
He recently lost his number one position to Lee Westwood and German Martin Kaymer is now second pushing Woods to number three.
The three will play the first two rounds together this week.
The field also includes Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, who won here in 2009, and is now No 7 in the world.
The Dubai Desert Classic is the last leg of the four-week Middle East Swing that has traveled through Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar before coming to Dubai.
