Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will inaugurate the Music Academy’s Annual Music Festival here on December 15.
Academy president N Murali said the Chief Minister readily accepted the invitation when he called on her on Thursday.
Murali recalled that the Chief Minister was to have inaugurated the Academy’s annual fest in 2005, but could not do so due to the unprecedented floods in Chennai at that time, which required her to personally monitor the relief efforts. “She had committed then that she would inaugurate the festival at a future date,” Murali said.
