Irked ryots ransack info centre

KHAMMAM: Tension prevailed at the Khammam cotton market yard on Tuesday, when about 2,000 cotton farmers, irked over the low price offered by the traders, ransacked the Rythu Information Centre.Farmers from Khammam, Nalgonda and Warangal came to the cotton market yard here with 2,500 bags of cotton on Tuesday morning.They entered into heated argument with the traders who offered them Rs. 3,800 per quintal against the usual Rs. 4,100.Apprehending threats, the traders left causing the farmers to ransack the Info Centre
