Defence Minister AK Antony has accepted an invitation to visit China next year.
New Delhi: India and China will resume military exercises after a two year gap. That appeared to be the high point of Defence Minister AK Antony's meeting with his Chinese counterpart Gen Liang Guanglie on Tuesday. The details are expected to be formalised during the bilateral defence dialogue in November.
India suspended all military exchanges in 2010 after China insisted on paper visas for a visiting Indian Army officer. Antony has also accepted an invitation to visit China next year.
Gen Liang Guanglie had arrived in Mumbai on Sunday on a five-day visit to the country. Before the official meeting started, the Chinese Defence Minister thanked his Indian counterpart for the "good arrangements" made during his visit to Mumbai and Agra.
