BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will shift part of its operations to Shanthinagar bus stand from December 28. Buses to Hyderabad, Tirupathi, Raichur (Kurnool) and Mantralaya will ply from Shanthinagar bus stand instead of Kempegowda bus stand (KBS).This is to ensure smooth functioning of the Metro work currently in progress at KBS.Transport Minister R Ashok had earlier stated that KSRTC would eventually move most of its operations out of KBS till the time that BMRCL hands over 13 acres of the total 20, which it has borrowed from KSRTC for Metro work. The work is expected to take 3 years for completion and till then, KSRTC will be run services from other bus depots. Shanthinagar bus stand is already being used for Airavat and Multi Axle Services to Hyderabad, from December 28 all services will be shifted to Shanthinagar.
