Gurgaon Police Commissioner tried to interfere in a harassment case probe, alleges top police officer
Virk has issued a statement saying this is unfortunate and that the arrests in the said case were made before he took over as Commissioner.

All is not well in the top brass of the Gurgaon police. Joint Commissioner Bharati Arora has accused Gurgaon Commissioner of Police NS Virk of interfering in a harassment case that she was investigating. She has written to State DGP Yashpal Singh saying she is being mentally tortured by the commissioner.

Meanwhile, Virk has issued a statement saying this is unfortunate and that the arrests in the said case were made before he took over as Commissioner. He has also said that JCP Arora is making such statements to hide her own misconduct.

Arora has alleged that Virk forced her to transfer the inquiry to crime branch as he has vested interests in the case. He said that he is unaware of any such complaints against him.

"Ajay Bharadwaj was booked in 2014 under rape charges and was arrested. After one year the girl who had lodged the complaint has written a letter to the CP to arrest the whole family on rape charges. The court dismissed the charges saying that the family had no role to play. I submitted my report to the DGP Haryana on August 10 that a false report has been submitted and again reported later that the CP threatened me and told me that I should leave the enquiry," Arora said.
